Terriero is selected from a single vineyard in Santa Lucia di Piave (TV) near the river Piave. It is located at 20 meters above sea level and is 10 years old. The terrain consists of stones predominantly.
This vineyard is harvested at the beginning of September. The grapes are then pressed lightly, the must fermented in steel tanks for a few months, and then finished in the autoclave for 40 days until it has reached the default sugar dosage. Then preferably 1 month in bottilgia and then be ready to consumption.
Note
Veneto area holds a predominantly Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and humid, while winter can be very cold.
